Documenting the moment, one event at a time.
Boston
I received my Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Emerson College, where I learned the many facets of multimedia journalism. Whether it be through the school’s radio station WERS-FM, The Berkeley Beacon newspaper, or WEBN Television, I got to have unforgettable experiences that have shaped my understanding of journalism. Through attending presidential campaign stops and off-the-wall sporting events, I’ve built a multifaceted understanding of society and those trying to write their own histories.
Washington, D.C.
Situated at the intersection of politics and culture lies the District of Columbia, with all of the nation’s influence and constant attention. I have had the opportunity to intern for professional media organizations such as C-SPAN and CNN, each giving me a unique perspective of reporting the news out of Capitol Hill. While working with C-SPAN Radio, I wrote scripts for the daily drive-time program Washington Today. For CNN, I assisted their entire Capitol Hill team with disseminating news in the new COVID-19 world, writing speech summaries and news reports for the entire press pool.
Indianapolis
My career with Nexstar Media Group began in the heart of Indiana, where local news moves faster than the checkered flag. In Indianapolis, I produced breaking coverage that informed viewers during severe weather, major public safety events, and statewide political developments. From the control room to the field, I learned how to adapt in real time: coordinating crews, writing on deadline, and making sure each broadcast met the highest standards of accuracy and clarity.
Chicago
Today, I bring that foundation to the national stage with NewsNation, Nexstar’s 24/7 cable news network based in Chicago. Here, I work with a diverse, fast-moving team to tell stories that resonate from coast to coast. Whether producing high-profile interviews, managing live coverage, or ensuring fairness in every segment, the ultimate goal is to inform, engage, and earn the audience’s trust. The scope is larger but the mission remains the same: deliver trustworthy journalism that connects people to the world around them.
A Civics Foundation
Ever since elementary school, I have had a fascination with politics and sharing important stories. I remember vividly in fourth grade watching the Inauguration of President Barack Obama throughout the entire school day. Events like that, as well as the entire run up to the 2008 Presidential Election, helped me understand the importance of politics at a very young age. I was able to build on that interest all throughout primary school, eventually becoming Editor-in-Chief of my school newspaper, The Captain’s Log of Toms River High School North, and Speaker of the House at the 2017 New Jersey Model Congress. This interest would not have bloomed without the illuminating civics education from my fantastic teachers.
